Please note on shipping frozen meat

Shipping frozen meat involves some variability once a package leaves our hands.

We ship all orders fully frozen and vacuum-sealed, packed in insulated boxes with ice packs or dry ice depending on the shipping method and destination. Packaging is selected specifically for transit time.

Occasionally, packages may arrive slightly softened but still cold to the touch. In those cases, the meat has remained within safe handling temperatures, is comparable to refrigerated meat purchased from a butcher or grocery store, and can be safely refrozen or cooked upon arrival.

All of our meat is frozen once by us and does not go through repeated freeze–thaw cycles. In conventional grocery supply chains, meat is often frozen and thawed multiple times during processing, transport, and storage before it reaches the shelf. Our products are safe to refreeze or cook upon arrival.

Packed-on dates (what they mean): The date printed on each package is the date it was sealed and frozen at the processor. Beef and pork are processed in different batches, so pack dates will vary by species and cut. We store all products continuously frozen below 0°F until pickup/shipping. Kept continuously frozen, safety is maintained and quality remains excellent.
